Telegram Setup Account Message Deletion
Setting up a Telegram Account
Telegram is a popular messaging app that offers end-to-end encryption for secure communication. To set up a Telegram account, you will need to download the app from the App Store or Google Play Store and create an account using your phone number. Once you have entered your phone number, Telegram will send you a verification code to confirm your identity. After entering the code, you can set up your profile by adding a profile picture and a username.
Configuring Message Deletion Settings
Telegram allows users to delete messages they have sent within a certain timeframe. To configure message deletion settings, go to the app settings and select the Privacy and Security option. From there, you can set a timer for message deletion, ranging from 24 hours to 7 days. Once the timer expires, the message will automatically be deleted from both the sender and recipient’s devices.
Deleting Individual Messages
If you want to delete a specific message that you have sent, simply tap and hold on the message until the delete option appears. Select delete and choose whether you want to delete the message for everyone or just for yourself. If you choose to delete the message for everyone, it will be removed from both your device and the recipient’s device.
Deleting Entire Chats
In addition to deleting individual messages, Telegram also allows users to delete entire chats. To delete a chat, swipe left on the chat you want to delete and select delete. You will be given the option to delete the chat for everyone or just for yourself. If you choose to delete the chat for everyone, it will be removed from both your device and the recipient’s device.
